The Case Study Method:

The supervisory/leadership programs on this web site use a case study method of instruction. Following this method, fictitious examples of work situations and problems are given and students are asked to discuss the solutions to these problems. Often these examples are phrased negatively to challenge the student's abilities to solve problems. When these examples occur in the manuals, they are labeled as case studies. They are not necessarily intended as examples of positive or recommended actions.
