Travel Advisory: Weekend Closure of Warren Street in Queensbury for Culvert Replacement
The New York State Department of Transportation advised motorists today that Warren Street (State Route 32) between Brayton Avenue and Highland Avenue in the Town of Queensbury, Warren County, will be closed from 6 p.m. Friday, April 23, until 6 a.m. Monday, April 26 to facilitate a culvert replacement, weather permitting. Traffic will follow a posted detour utilizing Ridge Street (State Route 9L) and Quaker Road (State Route 254). Motorists are further advised that work is scheduled to continue at this location through Friday, April 30, with minimal impact on traffic. All properties near the culvert will remain accessible. Motorists are reminded to Move Over a lane, if safely possible, or slow down significantly whenever encountering roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
