Collision Vulnerability Manual
Content: This document describes the assessment phase of the Bridge Safety Assurance program for Collision Vulnerability. Specific details on the assessment process are described and some general evaluations and implementation techniques are also included.
The goal of the collision vulnerability program is to identify the relative vulnerability of the state's bridges to failure due to collision so that necessary vulnerability reduction measures can be implemented in an efficient and effective manor.
Status: Issued Feb 1995. Revised three times, last on June 1996. June 1996:
- Replaced Figure 3.3 (Page 3.8)- Vuln. Rating Summary Sheet - Several headings were incorrect
- Replaced Foreward (deleting Shirole's name)
- Includes 12/95 edition of Vuln. Assessment summary sheet in Appendix B

December 1995:
- Revised Vuln. Assessment Summary Sheets (App. B) to eliminate one point from being scored for each Yes or No question.

June 1995:
- Revised Vuln. assessment summary sheets (App. B)
